Hey, anybody knows how the incup point system works? And is it legal to use in another tournament?

Afaik it is the ELO system, which is also used in almost every ladder system in clanbase or esl f.e.
The main point is that you start with 1000 points and you get more points if you win vs a player, who got more points before the match and you get less points if the player got less points before the match. Of course it goes the other way around with losing points, when you lose.

inCup just uses an open source tournament and bracket PHP script called MyPHPTournament.

#2 Exactly, search google for the opensource.org page or something, i recall i downloaded it a few years back and found manay pages with it.

sourceforge.net is a good opensource ressource.

The point system that is being used is based on the ELO system, which is normally used in laddering.

Rn = Ro + C * (S - Se)

Rn = new rating
Ro = old rating
S = score
Se = expected score
C = constant
