Yesterday I bought a new mouse with 3 addinional buttons, mouse4-6. I wanted to put the function of the keyboard keys numpad 7 and 8 on the mouse buttons 4 and 5, so that I have it easier to use townport or staff with nightelv.
But then I found some difficults, first of all I tried it with the mouse software (I bought a mouse from "Trust" mousename: GM-4200 Gamer Mouse Optical"), but there werent the numpad buttons to choose. So I tried it find out how to put the numpads on my mouse over several boards only to find the choice: over 3rd programs like "Blamestar's hotkey" tool.

Now I wanted to ask in a board from a proffesional team:
1. Is it allowed to use such 3rd programms to put my staff and my townportal on mousebuttons?
2. And if it isnt which alternative ways I have to do it ?

because I cant imagine a proffesional player to use numpad 8 to use his townportal or his staff to port his bears in less then 0,1 sek. Hoping for help M3div.

just use "Custom Keys" or something like that.
and change your numpad 7,8 numbers on another you like.
i have numpad number 3 on "X"(Ne Stuff),and numpad number 7 on "Z"(town portal).
so by using my "X" button i can stuff bears or another units as fast as i can.

1. Its allowed in Bnet but if you are member of a ESL clan its TOTALLY forbidden!

2. Only Custom Keys Settings are accually allowed!

I don't think it's forbidden. I have my copperheads left side buttons to 7 and 5. This is for easy tp + staff. It just works out way easier for me. And in many videos of actual pros, I have seen them use the num pads. It's all what you're comfortable with. It's just a binding to your hardware, I highly doubt anything like that is illegal. Because for keyboards etc you can bind side macro buttons, same thing.
